Rep. Jonathan Fritz has been appointed as a deputy whip for the 2025-26 Legislative Session, which commenced on December 1. The appointment was made by House Republican Whip Tim O’Neal.

“I am honored to be chosen to serve, for a third time, as a House deputy whip,” Fritz stated. He emphasized the importance of his role in ensuring effective communication among colleagues, noting that “policy and legislation, at times, moves at a very accelerated pace and there’s often abrupt developments.”

In addition to his role as deputy whip, Fritz will chair the Northeast Regional Delegation for fellow Republican members. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by his peers: “Harrisburg is a place that requires collaboration, and I am thankful that my delegation-mates entrust me to lead as their chairman.” Fritz highlighted the importance of working together within the delegation to benefit the region collectively.

Fritz aims to ensure that the Northeast and Northern Tier regions receive adequate attention and resources. The Northeast Regional Delegation includes parts or all of Bradford, Columbia, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
