Residents of Susquehanna and Wayne counties are invited to attend the Senior Expo hosted by Representative Jonathan Fritz on October 31 in Waymart. The event, which is free of charge, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ladore Pavilion located at 287 Owego Turnpike. Attendees can enjoy complimentary refreshments.

“My Senior Expo is an expansive one-stop shop for golden-aged citizens, family members and caregivers,” Fritz stated. “This event showcases the many life-enhancing businesses and services available to them in our area.” He emphasized that the expo provides an opportunity for seniors to directly access resources by interacting with representatives from various local, state, and federal agencies and organizations. “The central aim is maximizing quality of life for our seniors,” he added.

The expo will include over 40 exhibitors offering information about their programs and services. Free seminars will cover topics such as foot care by Honesdale Podiatry, Medicare options presented by American Senior Benefits, and estate planning along with asset preservation discussed by Barna Law. Additionally, a prescription drug drop-off box will be available for seniors to safely dispose of unwanted or expired medications.
