Residents of Susquehanna and Wayne counties are invited to attend a Senior Expo hosted by Rep. Jonathan Fritz on October 31 in Waymart. The event, which is free of charge, will be held at the Ladore Pavilion from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with complimentary refreshments available.

Rep. Fritz describes the expo as “an expansive one-stop shop for golden-aged citizens, family members and caregivers.” He emphasizes that the event highlights various life-enhancing businesses and services accessible in the area, noting that “information can sometimes be elusive.” According to Fritz, the expo aims to enhance seniors’ quality of life by providing direct access to resources through interactions with representatives from local, state, and federal agencies.

The expo will host over 40 exhibitors who will provide information about their programs and services. Attendees can also participate in free seminars covering topics such as foot care by Honesdale Podiatry, Medicare options by American Senior Benefits, and estate planning and asset preservation by Barna Law. Additionally, there will be a prescription drug drop-off box available for seniors wishing to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.

For further details about the event, individuals can contact Rep. Fritz’s office at 570-253-5533.
