Delaware River Club Fly Fishing Resort issued the following announcement.
The lower West Branch seemed a little slower for dry fly fishing last night compared to Monday.
The bright sun heated the water up a couple of degrees more.
Nymphing was still good and people did catch fish on dries – just not as many bugs as the night before.
The Upper West stayed colder during the day. Today looks like a copy of yesterday with sunshine, a high of 73, and wind 5 – 10 from the North.
We may see a few clouds pass through but shouldn’t see any rain. The release from Cannonsville was decreased slightly, so slightly it doesn’t even matter.
Not sure why they did that. Olives, a few cahills, and isonychias we’re spotted last night. Watch the water temps and stay where the river is 62 degrees or less.
You’ll see more bugs in cooler water right now.
