North Pocono School District issued the following announcement.
This message is to clarify information for families that have received district-issued Chromebooks.
While it is our intention to have devices for all students in grades 6-12, the shipment of devices ordered in May has not arrived.
While we anticipate the delivery to arrive within a few weeks, not all students in grades 6-12 will have a district-issued Chromebook for the first day of instruction.
However, some families have requested and received district Chromebooks. If your child is at the secondary level (grades 6-12), he/she is encouraged to bring his/her district-provided device to and from school. At this time, elementary students (grades K-5) who have requested and received a district Chromebook can use that device to work from home and do not have to bring it into the building.
No personally-owned devices should be brought to school at this time.
When we receive our shipment that ensures one-to-one at the secondary level, the district will issue further instructions.
