Delaware River Club Fly Fishing Resort issued the following announcement.
The release from Cannonsville was not changed overnight so the flow at Stilesville is still 915 cfs. Today will be cooler with the air temp reaching 60 degrees. The wind does not sound awesome at 12 mph from the North gusting to 20 mph. If we’re lucky the gusts are spaced out and the fish will have time to get on the little olives in the afternoon. Otherwise nymphs and streamers will be your best bets. We’re settling into normal October weather and will have some nights in the 30’s this week.
There is some color in the West Branch from the release. The higher the release the more color will be in the river. It happens every Fall when the reservoir begins to turn over.
