We are pleased to inform you that Wayne Highlands School District will be implementing a new food service provision known as the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program for the 2021-2022 school year. This program is available to schools and districts that are participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs, and will enable the district to continue serving healthy meals every school day to our students at NO CHARGE.
Although no further action is required for your child(ren) to receive FREE breakfast and lunch for the school year 2021-2022, the district is still encouraging families to complete the Free and Reduced Application.
In addition to assisting the district receives federal funding for these free meals, completing this application may also make your household eligible for other potential benefits from the Commonwealth of PA, including 1.) Future P-EBT Card funds, and 2.) Automatically extending your student’s meal eligibility status for 30 days into the 2022-2023 school year.
