Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
We are in need of a volunteer coordinator for our baby blanket ministry. The coordinator will receive the blankets, have them blessed, and bring them to the hospital.
Members will knit, crochet, or make a new baby blanket(s) for local newborns. The completed blankets will be tagged with a message of love from the Parish Ministry, Blessed, and brought to the Maternity Department at Wayne Memorial Hospital for the newborn.
