Senior Farmers’ Market Vouchers for the purchase of Pennsylvania-grown fruits and vegetables.

Each year, the PA Department of Agriculture provides vouchers that can be used at local farmers’ markets and farm stands. Each eligible recipient receives four $6 checks to redeem between now and November 30.

To be eligible, individuals must be a Wayne County resident, be 60 years or older by Dec. 31 and meet household income guidelines, which for 2022 are $25,143 for one person and $33,874 for two people.

Applications can be downloaded, completed -- including signature and date of birth, and sent to the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging, 323 Tenth Street, Honesdale 18431 or via email to kmcginnis@waynecountypa.gov. Applications will be processed and vouchers will be mailed.

Seniors and caregivers may also call the Aging Office at 570-253-4262 to request an application be mailed.

To find a farmers’ market or farm stand with eligible farmers, go to www.pafmnp.org. For a market with a phone number, please contact the market for changes to operating hours and guidelines before visiting.
