In Pike County 139 inmates were incarcerated in the third quarter of 2022, a 13.9 percent increase over the quarter before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Jovan Toussaint, a 21-year-old, was the youngest inmate in Pike County in the third quarter of 2022.

James Russell Bianchi was the oldest at 84-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
