In Pike County 151 inmates were incarcerated in the first quarter of 2023, a two percent increase over the quarter before, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Jovan Toussaint and Michael J. Vela, 22-year-olds, were the youngest inmates in Pike County in the first quarter of 2023.

James Russell Bianchi was the oldest at 84-years-old.

Incarceration rates in Pennsylvania have increased dramatically, imprisoning more than seven times the number of people in 2019 than in 1970.
