Rep. Jonathan Fritz has officially begun his fifth term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 111th Legislative District. The district includes all of Susquehanna County and parts of Wayne County, covering several townships and boroughs.
Fritz expressed gratitude for the continued support from voters: “Serving the hard-working citizens of Wayne and Susquehanna counties is an incredible honor. I appreciate the trust that the voters continue to place in me,” he stated.
He emphasized his commitment to protecting rural lifestyles while promoting economic growth: "Our rural way of life needs safeguarding, and the constituents of the 111th can be assured that I am up for the challenge." He added that it is possible to balance defending quality of life with fostering new business opportunities, expanding farming, increasing energy potential, investing in main streets, enhancing outdoor recreation options, and continuing regional development.
In addition to his legislative duties, Fritz will continue serving as a House deputy whip. This role involves disseminating information swiftly among colleagues during fast-paced legislative sessions. "The legislative process, at times, moves at a very fast pace and there's often abrupt developments. Dissemination of information to colleagues is critical," Fritz explained.
