Josh Shapiro's recent decision to close more prison facilities in Pennsylvania, affirming that SCI Waymart is not on the closure list. The facility had previously faced potential closure eight years ago, but efforts led by Fritz and Brown kept it operational.
"Keeping SCI Waymart open has been a primary focus," they stated, recalling their successful past efforts to prevent its closure. They reassured the community that despite new announcements of closures, SCI Waymart remains secure.
