Women's History Month Bookmark Contest
7th grade students throughout Lackawanna County were invited to participate in the Women's History Month 2023 Bookmark Contest sponsored by the Lackawanna County Commission for Women. The contest included writing a short essay on a noteworthy woman from Lackawanna County, as well as submitting a drawing expressing why this person was influential.
Winners of the contest will have their submission turned into a bookmark that will be distributed throughout the Lackawanna County Library System. This year, North Pocono students won the top three spots:
In third place - Emily Wheeler
In second place - Avery Shiffer
In first place - Cameron Forgione
